Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026.

SourceNode (“SourceNode”, “we”, “us”) runs AI agents that manage how AI search describes a brand. This policy explains what personal data we collect through sourcenode.co and in the course of our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

SourceNode operates the website at sourcenode.co and provides AI search identity management services to business clients. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us through the contact page on sourcenode.co.

2. What we collect

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, work email address, phone number, company and role, when you book a call, send a message or apply for a position.

  • Usage data about how the site is used, collected through our analytics provider in aggregated form: pages visited, referring source, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address.

  • Business information about a client’s brand: its pages, public listings, press coverage, reviews and how AI models describe it. This is gathered to deliver the service and is mostly public information about a company rather than about a person.

  • Correspondence between you and us, including emails and notes from calls.

We do not collect payment card details on this site. Client invoicing is handled under the client agreement.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, set up a call and follow up.

  • To deliver and improve the service for clients, including reading how AI models describe a brand, tracing the public sources behind those answers and changing the sources the client controls or authorises.

  • To operate, secure and improve the website.

  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use one client’s data to train models or to deliver work for another client.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract or steps before entering one (client work and enquiries); our legitimate interests in running and improving the business and website; consent, where we ask for it (for example, analytics cookies where required); and legal obligations.

5. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as hosting, analytics, email, scheduling and document tools, under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing the service to us.

  • AI model providers and measurement tools used in client engagements. We tell clients which ones we use. Prompts we send to these providers describe businesses and customer questions, not the personal details of our contacts.

  • Our partner Node Media, where a client engagement is delivered jointly and the client has been told.

  • Authorities or advisers where the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Some providers are located outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for those transfers.

6. Retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, and client data for the duration of the engagement plus the period needed for our records and legal obligations. Aggregated analytics are kept in a form that does not identify you.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards, limit access to people who need it, and use access-controlled tools for client data. No system is completely secure, and we will notify affected people and authorities where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. To exercise these rights, contact us through the contact page on sourcenode.co. We may need to verify your identity. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and, where permitted, analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
