Founding Engineer
Remote, US or Europe · Full time · First engineering hire, with founding equity
The role
You will be the first engineer at SourceNode, with the equity that goes with it, and you will turn a hand-run playbook into agents. Today we deliver the service by hand: reading how each AI model describes a client, tracing every claim to its source, rewriting pages, publishing new ones and pursuing the third-party sources the models cite. Every engagement produces labelled data on what moved an answer and what did not. Your job is to build the system that runs that loop on its own, day after day.
What you will build
• The Read agent: pulls answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Perplexity across a client’s prompt set and attributes each claim to the page or source that produced it.
• The Correct agent: rewrites owned pages so facts are consistent, structured and machine-readable, with schema and verified data.
• The Publish and Earn agents: draft content to spec and work the earned-media queue.
• The measurement layer underneath, which already exists at aisearchmonitor.com and ties answers to visits, leads and revenue.
Who we are looking for
• You have shipped production systems on top of LLM APIs and know their failure modes.
• You are comfortable owning a codebase end to end: crawling, retrieval, evaluation, a small web app and the infrastructure under it.
• You would rather measure than argue.
• You have opinions about search and how machines read the web, and you can explain them to a marketing director without jargon.
